Chad McCumbee Sets His Sights On Atlanta.

After Break, NASCAR Craftsman Trucks Return to Action

After a two-week vacation, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is back in action at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. In the fall of 2006, Chad McCumbee brought home a seventh-place finish at the 1.5-mile track. Now he has his sights set a little bit higher than seventh; he plans on being up front when the checkers fall.

'I am really looking forward to going back to Atlanta,' said McCumbee. 'It is where I feel that we had our best run in 2006. It was the best shot that we had last year of being able to contend for the win. I am pretty pumped to go back.

'We are going back with the same truck that we ran last year and that we ran this year at California. We have made some changes since California from some stuff that we learned in California, and I think that it will help theGPSstore.com / Garmin Chevrolet to stay up front all day long.'

The Atlanta track is notorious for having fast speeds and is a favorite among the drivers. McCumbee counts himself among those who call Atlanta one of his favorites.

'I really like Atlanta,' added McCumbee. 'I think any driver will tell you that they like racing in Atlanta. If you have

success at that place, you are always going to like it. I think throughout the garage that Atlanta is a pretty favorable track for a lot of people. It has a really wide racing groove, and you can really do a lot of stuff with your vehicle. If it is not handling in one place, you can take it to another area.

'It promotes a lot of a side-by-side racing and should be a good show for the fans. Hopefully they will see the No. 08 theGPSstore.com / Garmin Chevrolet up front and contending for the win.'

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will be back in action this Friday, March 16th, at Atlanta Motor Speedway with the running of the American Commercial Lines 200.
