Garmin has listened to the hunter’s wishes and added many hunter friendly features to the new Astro 320. The addition of special waypoint features and a tilt-compensated compass make navigation much simpler. Additional range and the ability to work with any of Garmin’s collars lets you follow your dogs with ease.
The easier to use, rugged Garmin Astro 320 has all the features for a successful day in to field or in the woods. Being compatible with any of Garmin’s tracking collars allows the 320 to track up to ten dogs at different intervals as fast as every five seconds. You can assign a special number to each collar to keep your dogs separate from other people and to keep track of which is where. With the addition of higher sensitivity antennas, you can now keep track of your group 30% further away than before, up to nine miles away on flat, open land. Keep quieter while on the hunt with new vibrate alert functions.
The new special Covey Counter allows a waypoint of where you found your prey, what time of day, elevation, and the number of birds at that location; add waypoint markers for food plots, tree stands, truck, lodge, and other special symbols and the Astro has become a time saving hunter’s tool. You can also see your surroundings better now with the addition of optional mapping on the Astro’s micro SD card slot or added internal memory of 1.7 GB. Add City navigator, Inland Lakes, or Topo mapping to the unit’s screen for added detail and situational awareness.
Along with the normal geotagging and dog tracking features, the new Garmin Astro 320 has added navigation and plotting features that hunters and sportsmen will wonder how they did without.
