The all-new Edge 605 by Garmin raises the bar for personal training gps devices. With it’s sleek design, the Edge 605 features a 2.2”, 176 x 220 pixels, color LCD that is loaded with a basemap and can accept additional Garmin Mapsource products from their line of CD and DVD-ROM’s as well as the pre-programmed microSD cards. The Edge can even give you a turn-by turn route when loaded with the Mapsource City Navigator software. Ready to go out of the box, the Edge 605 requires no calibration and easily attaches to your bicycle’s handlebar or stem. The Garmin Edge 605 features a highly sensitive built-in patch GPS receiver, providing extremely reliable reception in conditions such as tree cover or even while deep in a canyon. The Garmin Edge 605 comes with a trip computer consisting of eight different customizable fields. A few examples include: Distance, calories burned, altitude, speed, climb and descent and many more.
The Edge 605 comes packed with features to assist your training rides. One of which is called the “Virtual Partner”. The Virtual partner included in the Edge 605 will allow you to ride against a desired pace. You can even ride against a previous course you’ve ridden that is stored in the Edge 605’s database. This information can then be transferred to the included Garmin Connect program via usb connection, allowing you to analyze our results with interactive tools provided in this software.
