4” Color Chartplotter with Pre-Loaded Marine Charts!.
Once again Garmin has done it first, offering a 4” color chartplotter with pre-loaded with Bluechart detail. The Garmin GPSMAP 440 packs a bunch of features into a unit that takes up very little console space. The GPSMAP 440’s 4” QVGA display is crisp and clear, and viewable in any lighting situation. The Garmin 440’s built in antenna is perfect for any open boat, and the BNC connection for the optional GA-29 Remote Antenna allows perfect reception for the boat with a T-top or a hard top. The GPSMAP 440 is great on a small boat with limited space or along side of a network system as a back up GPS.
Pre-loaded to every Garmin GPSMAP 440 is the BlueChart G2 data for the entire United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and the Great Lakes as well as the detailed charts for the Bahamas. The BlueChart G2 data features detailed coastlines, navaids, port plans, depth contours, wrecks, and restricted areas, as well as tide and current data. This data can be further enhanced in the GPSMAP 440 with the addition of a BlueChart G2 vision chart. The G2 vision charts will add high-resolution photomapping detail, real picture arial images of ports, harbors, marinas, waterways, points of interest and other navigation landmarks.
