Garmin's Ultimate Outdoor Handheld GPS with Expandable Memory!
Looking for the handheld GPS that’s rich in features, easy to use, versatile and durable? Well, the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx should be on the top of your list. New to the GPSMAP 60 series, the 60CSx is an innovative upgrade from the GPSMAP 60CS allowing for expandable memory. With the new microSD slot you get all of the original 60CS features plus the ability to swap or add more memory. Because the microSD card slot is positioned in the sealable battery compartment, users can rest assure their data will not be compromised. What else? The Garmin 60CSx has a new highly sensitive GPS receiver for increased satellite acquisition in heavy tree coverage and hard to reach canyons.
Some of the best features of the 60CS that succeed to the x-series are the barometric altimeter for accurate elevation data and an electronic compass that displays an accurate heading while standing still. Also, don't forget the large 256-color screen stretching at 2.6" diagonal area. The color screen allows for better reading of MapSource key icons and routes and provides premium viewing while maximizing your battery life (30 hours, typical use). Additionally Garmin's new faster processor provides enhanced capabilities and tracking. Finally a great feature is the ability to have the GPS calculate a text turn-by-turn route for you, with the addition of the Garmin City Navigator software, making it easy to get to your destination.
The GPSMAP 60CSx also comes with a preloaded Americas autoroute base map, which gives you highways; routing capabilities and US tide data. Included with the device is a 64MB microSD card to store the optional MapSource detailed maps like City Navigator, TOPO and Bluechart. Garmin has also made many of its more popular Mapsource titles available on pre-loaded microSD cards, including Topo USA, Bluechart Americas, and City Navigator Europe. There is no need to connect to you PC for map uploading when using the pre-programmed cards.
Behind the scenes, the GPSMAP 60CSx has a 12-channel WAAS receiver with a built-in Quad Helix antenna for greater reception and better accuracy. Additional features include audible alarms, an integrated outdoor calendar, 20 saved tracks, best fish & hunt times calculator, a dedicated geo-caching mode, and indoor/outdoor GPS games that turn the outdoors into a giant game-board.
