Color, Handheld, Marine GPS with Expandable Memory!
The GPSMAP 76Cx is a surprising new advancement from Garmin's popular GPSMAP 76C model. This new upgrade includes an expandable microSD card slot for adding additional memory for larger map storage. The new microSD card technology sits in the sealed battery compartment allowing the device to have removable media and be Waterproof as well. Garmin has also thrown in a blank 128MB microSD card for storing optional detailed MapSource data. Another feature includes an improved highly sensitive GPS receiver for faster satellite acquisition and improved signal quality. It helps in compromising conditions like heavy tree coverage and large cities with tall buildings.

One of the features that we love about the new Garmin 76Cx is the beautiful color TFT display. This pixel packed screen serves up one of the sharpest quality pictures in any condition. Even in direct sunlight is directly on it. No need to block the sun with your hand to read you coordinants. Additionally, the included USB cable allows fast data upload and simple PC integration.
The GPSMAP 76Cx has all the basics covered too, including a 12 channel, WAAS, SIRF receiver for outstanding tracking and accuracy up to 9 feet*, 2 battery design for lighter weight, 1000 user entered waypoints with name and symbol, rugged waterproof design, audible alarms, celestial tables for best fishing and hunting times, and US tide data with marine point database. Marine enthusiast will like that the unit follows IPX7 water resistant standards and is buoyant. Yes this baby can float.
The built-in Americas AutoRoute basemap covers North and South America and has extra detail for inside the US. By using the basemap the GPSMAP 76Cx can guide you turn-by-turn with visual directions and audible tones along highways and interstates. When map data from Garmin's optional MapSource City Select software is purchased and downloaded into the unit this capability is greatly expanded to include details street level maps and points of interest. The best way to do this is to purchase the automotive navigation kit; which includes the City Select software and vehicle accessories such as a mounting bracket and power cord.
