. Garmin has expanded their ground breaking Nuvi Family with the addition of the Nuvi 270 Personal Travel Assistant. Garmin kept the sleek, ultra-thin, portable design that is featured on all of the Nuvi units and removed some of the extras features to make it more affordable. The Nuvi 270 offers a beautiful 3.5” color, touch screen display that is sunlight viewable, pre-loaded maps for all of North America, and a built in speaker for verbal turn-by-turn directions.

Uses Navteq Maps The Garmin Nuvi 270 comes pre-loaded with the Garmin City Navigator data for North America as well as Europe, with data provided by Navteq. The nüvi 270 is also loaded with nearly 6 million Points of Interest for both North America and Europe including Hotels, Restaurants, ATM’s, Gas Stations and many more.

Just use the touch screen to enter in the address or point of interest that you want to navigate to and the Nuvi 270 will provide both vocal and on screen directions to your destination. The Garmin Nuvi 270 can be viewed in either a 2D overhead or a 3D view of the road ahead. If you miss a turn do not worry as the Garmin Nüvi 270 will recalculate directions and get you back on track.

The Nuvi 270 comes with built-in support for the travel kit which includes a JPEG picture viewer, world clock, currency converter, measurement convert and a calculator. Garmin also gave the Nuvi 270 and SD card slot for the storage images. The Garmin Nuvi 270 will also accept the optional Garmin Travel Guide and Garmin Language guide to an SD card through on board SD memory card expansion slot.
