Truck Friendly GPS that Adjusts Routes to Fit Your Truck.
The Nuvi 465T is the first Garmin to incorporate truck specific routing and trucking POI’s from the National Truck and Trailers Services breakdown directory. Because the Nuvi 465 is made specifically for trucks it will design routes to specific truck types as well as load and physical restrictions. The Garmin 465T can even handle multiple stops; it will allow you to choose between the order of your choice or the most efficient way through the multiple addresses. The Nuvi 465T will also show color coded safety alerts for the road ahead.
Installed in the Garmin 465T is detailed mapping for all of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The 465T Nuvi will provide verbal turn by turn directions that included spoken street names for trucks and passenger vehicles. Just enter a specific address or one of the over 6 million points of interest and you are on your way. If you miss a turn the Nuvi 465 will recalculate and quickly get you back on track. The truck specific routes are only available in the lower 48 states. “Where Am I?” gives you instant access to the closest hospital, police station, fuel, street address, intersection and your current coordinants.
The Nuvi 465 T comes with the Garmin FM traffic receiver for real time traffic information from Navteq. The Navteq traffic information is transmitted through an FM broadcast to your receiver allowing the unit to use that information and route you around any delays, including traffic jams, construction, or accidents. Garmin includes a lifetime subscription of the traffic service with the purchase of a Nuvi 465T. Use this link to view the list of cities where Navteq traffic service is available.
The Garmin unit is also Bluetooth compatible and will connect with most Bluetooth phones to enable hands free calling right through the Nuvi 465T’s on board speaker and microphone. Garmin Connect Photos will let you download images to your Nuvi to associate with your saved locations.
