Feature Packed Navigation from Garmin with Europe Maps Pre-Loaded.

The Garmin Nuvi 770 is feature packed GPS navigation with detailed maps of both Europe and North America pre-loaded. This unit is perfect for both the traveling business man or just a world traveler; you can really setup and go. Feature packed means that the Nuvi 770 includes Bluetooth technology, real-time traffic receiver for us in North America and an FM transmitter to broadcast your turn-by-turn directions through the vehicle's stereo. Garmin has added some new features, such as a “Where’s my car?”, which marks the location of your parked car when the unit is removed from the cradle and will navigate you back to that spot at your request. One other new feature is the speed limit indicator which will show the speed limit on highways and interstates on the display. As for the display, the Nuvi 770 has a wide 4.3” touch screen that auto adjusts for night time use and is viewable in direct sunlight.

Uses Navteq Maps The Nuvi 770 is pre-loaded with the entire Mapsource City Navigator North America NT and City Navigator Europe software.

Garmin‘s City Navigator data also includes almost 6 million points of interest for both Europe and North America, with categories ranging from restaurants, hotels, ATM’s, gas stations, shopping centers, plus many more. With the data already loaded to the Nuvi 770, all you have to do is turn it on and enter the address or point of interest that you are traveling to and let the 770 guide you there. If you have more that one stop, the Nuvi 770 will accept up to 10 different stops and can automatically arrange the route in the most efficient order. The Garmin 770 will give you visual directions, plus verbal turn-by-turn guidance with text-to-speech commands. Text-to speech guidance will take the verbal directions one step further by not only announcing the distance and direction of your next turn, but also including the name of the street that you will be turning on. This helps to keep your eyes off the Nuvi 770’s superb display and on the road ahead. If you need to view the map, Garmin gives you the ability to change between the traditional overhead view and a 3-D view of the road ahead and to choose from several different Vehicle icons.

The Nuvi 770 comes with the Garmin GTM-20 traffic receiver for real time traffic information from Total Traffic Network. The Total Traffic Network traffic information is transmitted through an FM broadcast to your GTM-20 receiver allowing the unit to use that information and route you around any delays, including traffic jams, construction, or accidents. Garmin includes a 3-month subscription of the traffic service with the purchase of a Nuvi 770; a subscription is required after the three month trial.

The built-in travel kit features an MP3 player, Currency converter, JPG viewer and more. Looking for more extensive travel information, you can add the optional Garmin Travel and Savers for hotel and restaurant ratings and money saving coupons.
