The Garmin Nuvi 785T does not just give turn-by-turn directions, it provides important travel related data with its MSN Direct services. Included with every Nuvi 785T is an MSN Direct receiver and a 3-month free subscription to MSN Direct services. MSN Direct service offers access to real time information on gas prices, weather conditions, traffic reports to route you around delays and construction, local movie times with ratings and movie genre, news and stock reports, and local event information for sporting events, festivals, and concerts. Save money by finding the least expensive gas prices near your current location. You can plan trips and locate destinations using Windows Live Local on your PC with the ability to wirelessly send this information to the Nuvi 785T. The MSN Direct is currently available in over 100 cities and the information is broadcast over FM frequency directly to the MSN Direct receiver which is part of the Nuvi 785T’s cigarette lighter adapter. Just like the rest of the Garmin Nuvi family the 785 T is a top notch navigation system. The beautiful 4.3” color touch screen display is viewable in direct sunlight. The display will automatically dim the back light and change colors and switch to night mode when the sun goes down, making it easy on the eyes at night. The touch screen and user interface allows easy entry of your destination. Enter a specific address or chose from one of 6 million plus points of interest that are pre-loaded to the Garmin 785T. Detailed Navteq maps for the entire of the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico are built in to guide you wherever your journey takes you. Once the Garmin 785T has calculated your route, it will guide you there with on screen directions as well as verbal commands that included spoken street names. When traveling on a major highway the lane assist feature will tell you what lane to be in for your next maneuver and will show you road sign detail. The Garmin 785T will even recalculate your route and get you back on track if you make an incorrect turn saving you time and gas.

Other features include Garmin’s “Where Am I?” feature to give you your position and local emergency services and their telephone numbers. The Nuvi 785T will also mark its position when it is removed from the vehicle mount so it can safely navigate you back to your parked vehicle. Garmin Lock feature, speed limit indicator and Bluetooth technology for hands free calling are also included.
