Garmin Navigation System for Motorcycle!
![]()
Built solely with motorcyclist in mind, Garmin’s Zumo 550 has been tested for whatever the road throws at you. With added features like BlueTooth technology you’re able to get turn-by-turn guidance, hands-free calling, and XM capabilities all wireless and sent straight to your helmet (requires compatible helmets and phones). The Zumo also has a glove friendly 3.5” touch-screen with left-handed controls and very rugged waterproof design for any weather condition.
The Zumo 550 is preloaded with MapSource City Navigator NT North America for extremely detailed mapping of the entire U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The 550 also provides you with nearly 6 million points of interest (POI’s) such as, restaurants, hotels, ATMS, banks, gas stations, and much more. You can also import your own POI’s using standard CSV files. The text-to-speech feature allows you to hear the street names as you’re being directed. For instance, the Zumo 550 will tell you to “Turn right onto Christopher Dr. in 300 feet” rather than “In 300 feet turn right”, which allows you to keep your eyes focused on the road ahead.
The Garmin Zumo also features an MP3 player that doesn’t require any special software to use and a lithium-ion battery is built in that can give you up to 3 hours of battery life. In addition, the Zumo has an SD slot for unlimited additional memory for added POI’s or MP3 files. The 550 gives you the capability to receive live traffic updates as you drive, such as accidents and construction zones using the optional GTM 10, 12, or 20 traffic receiver. You can also get XM Satellite Radio and XM NavTraffic with the additional GXM 30 Smart Antenna. (Subscription required and only offered in selected metro areas.)
The Zumo is equipped with a high-sensitivity WAAS receiver, which will acquire and maintain a satellite signal in heavy foliage or in large metro areas where skyscrapers are present. Other unique features include a motorcycle console for trip information, which will enable the Zumo to tell you when you’re running low on gas. Garmin has also given you the ability to change the cap of the display so you can match the color to your bike.
Unit Size: 3.9”H x 4.8”W x 1.6”D. Weight: 10.6 oz. One year warranty.
