The glove friendly screen is also dual-orientation capable to provide more mounting options and give the rider more viewing options. The Zumo 590 is waterproof to IPX7 ratings, comes pre-loaded with Garmin City Navigator maps for USA, Canada and Mexico and is designed to be used on a motorcycle or in a car and comes with accessories for both applications, but that is just the beginning.
Explore with Detailed Mapping
The Mapping options for the Zumo 590LM are almost endless; the included City Navigator Maps come with free lifetime map updates so that your GPS will be up to date with anything navigation. Directions are provided either through the built in speaker or via Bluetooth to your helmet’s headset. For use on-road Garmin makes optional City Navigator maps to cover almost anywhere in the world you may want to go with street detail, address information and points of interest. If your travels take you off-road, the Zumo 590 LM is compatible with Garmin’s line of Topo maps and even gives you the option to download 3D terrain maps. If you’re just out enjoying a ride, try the Curvy Road feature and the 590 will route you on nearby winding roads. When the 590 is navigating you to a new destination or using “Round Trip Routing” it will show you upcoming turns and provide “Active Lane Guidance” so that you will always be in the correct lane.
Music and Media
The Zumo 590 LM will allow you to listen to your favorite tunes while navigating thanks to built-in Bluetooth. The Bluetooth receiver in the 590 will interface with your smart phone for mp3 music or Streaming Pandora. The Garmin Smartphone Link App also allows you to view Live Traffic and Weather Radar.
The Zumo 590LM gives you everything you need in one device. VIRB compatible for Start/Stop control, Tire Pressure Monitor (TPMS) Compatible, built-in Service History Log, removable Battery and Dual Headset support make this unit a must have.
