The First Floating Handheld Marine VHF!
Icom is known for leading the way in Marine VHF technology, so there was no surprise when they introduced the first floating handheld VHF Marine radio, the IC-M34. That is right, the Icom M34 floats! The M34 is also rugged and waterproof to IPX7 standards, which means it is submersible to 1 meter for 30 minutes. With 3 power settings, the M34 will let you use a full 5 watts of power, or you can select 3 or 1-watt output for close in communications.
The Icom M34 weighs only 10.8oz and its rounded body makes it easy to use and hold. The operation could not be any easier with the 9 large front mounted buttons on the M34. The IC-M34 also has a “FAV” button, which stores your favorite channel and will take you there with one simple touch. The M34 includes a lithium-ion battery pack that can provide up to 9 hours of talk time. The large LCD display is easy to read and shows status information at a glance, such as battery life, radio volume and power setting. The M34 also features AquaQuake technology, which emits a vibrating noise moving water away from the speaker. The M34 features all US and International Channels, programmable "TAG" scanning, instant channel 16/9 access, Dual/Tri watch modes and much more.
