Magellan has expanded their award-winning Maestro series with the introduction of the Maestro 4200. The 4200 comes pre-loaded with detailed street maps by Navteq of the lower 48 states, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Also included with these detailed maps are 1.3 million searchable points of interest. Magellan has also made searching through the points of interest easier with their new QuickSpell technology. QuickSpell speeds up your search and even checks your spelling when entering an address.
The 4.3” WQVGA full-color, anti-glare, touch-screen display that the Maestro 4200 uses not only makes data entry easy, but also makes viewing the crisp detail of the map enjoyable. Even though the 4200 has a beautiful display, you will not need to watch it while driving as it will give you clear and concise voice turn-by-turn directions through your entire route. The 4200 also uses Magellan’s SmartDetour technology which will prompt and route drivers around stopped traffic.
Lastly, the 4200 has an internal recharable battery for up to 3 hours of use away from a charging source. If the battery gets low you can even use the unit while it is charging by using the included 12v cigarette lighter adapter. If your destination takes you under heavy tree canopy or between large buildings, have no fear of losing satellites; The built-in SiRFstar III GPS antenna is sure to keep your position locked.
