The Magellan RoadMate 1212 is pocket sized, affordable navigation with text-to-speech routing. The beautiful 3.5” color display is sunlight readable and is a touch screen allowing easy operation. Right in the RoadMate 1212’s case is a high sensitivity GPS receiver for unmatched reception and a lithium-ion rechargeable battery for up to 3 hours of use.
Loaded to every RoadMate1212 is the entire Navteq database for all of North America and Puerto Rico, as well as 6 million Points of Interest. Simply use the touch screen to enter a specific address or particular point of interest and the Magellan RoadMate1212 will generate a route to your destination. With the Magellan QuickSpell technology the Magellan 1212 will eliminate letter choices bringing you to your street name or POI name faster. Once you are underway the RoadMate 1212 will guide you with both verbal and on screen directions to safely guide you to your destination. With the Magellan SayWhere technology with Text-to-Speech routing the 1212 will even announce the name of the street that you are turning onto. If you get off track, the 1212 will recalculate your route and get you back on track within seconds. If you are sitting in traffic, the Magellan SmartDetour function will route you around stopped freeway traffic.
