Chad McCumbee Sets His Sights on Next Mile and Half Track
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series have had a few weeks off, and it was a pretty productive break for the young Chad McCumbee. He was able to claim his first ARCA RE/MAX Series victory at Nashville Superspeedway, and now as he heads to a similar track with the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks, he looks to be able to repeat that success with theGPSStore.com / Garmin Chevrolet at Kansas Speedway.
"I am really looking forward to heading to Kansas," said McCumbee. "Kansas is the style of tracks that we have had success on. I feel pretty good about it. We are taking a brand new truck there, and the guys have worked really hard to get it as good as it can be. I think that we can get some bad luck off of our shoulders and bring home a good finish for theGPSStore.com and Garmin Chevrolet."
In 2006 McCumbee and the team put up a solid 13th place finish at the track. Now they are going back refreshed from the few weeks off and the team is ready to go.
"We have had a long break for the Craftsman Trucks," added McCumbee. "But we were able to get a nice fleet of trucks set up for the rest of the season. I am really excited for the rest of the year and hopefully we can get it all kicked off right this weekend with a win at Kansas."
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will be back in action this Saturday, April 28th, at Kansas Speedway.
