'Monster Mile' Not a Problem for Chad McCumbee.
Chad McCumbee and theGPSstore.com / Garmin Chevrolet were able to build on their 14th-place finish at Mansfield just a week ago and bring home a solid 13th place finish at Dover International Raceway (DE).
"It was a really good performance from theGPSstore.com/ Garmin team," said McCumbee. "We still had some bad luck, if we could just get rid of that we would be up there week in and week out contending for the wins.
For the majority of the race, McCumbee and his team were right around the top-five in position to try and claim the win.
"We had a top-five truck all night long, unfortunately through the pit cycles and a part failure during the fuel process we lost some spots. It was still a solid finish for us, and a good points night,
Next week, Chad will step out of his truck to make his NEXTEL Cup Debut, but with the momentum still churning at theGPSstore.com / Garmin team, he feels that they have all that they need to be running up front.
"I am super excited about this weekend," said McCumbee. "I hate that I am going to miss Texas but I think that the team is going to go out there and have a great run with Eric Norris. He has experience on the track and with all the momentum that the team has I really think that they will be in good shape.
I am really looking forward to driving that Goody's Cool Orange Dodge at Pocono, and I couldn't be more thankful to the Petty's for giving me that opportunity.
Chad will make his NEXTEL Cup Debut this weekend at Pocono Raceway with Petty Enterprises on Sunday June, 10th.
