The TomTom ONE XL has taken the popular ONE to a 4.3” wide screen display. The ultra bright, 480 x 272 resolution, 4.3” display offers superb readability and easy operation. At the heart of the TomTom ONE XL is a highly sensitive GPS chipset for fast satellite acquisitions and unsurpassed GPS tracking. The built in lithium-ion battery will provide approximately 2 hours of use away from a power source. TomTom also includes their QuickGPSfix software which allows the XL to acquire a GPS signal super fast.

With the TeleAtlas maps for the United States and Canada pre-loaded to the unit, there is no need to download maps to the TomTom XL. Using the touch screen, enter the address or point of interest that you are traveling to and the ONE XL will route you there. TomTom gives you 4 different routing options: quickest, shortest, avoid toll roads and by required arrival time. You can also chose between a traditional overhead view of the map or a 3-D view for a true perspective of what is ahead. Once you are on your way the ONE will guide you along with verbal turn-by-turn directions through its powerful built in speaker. If you miss a turn the TomTom ONE will recalculate your directions and get you right back on track.

With the addition of a BlueTooth capable phone you can connect to TomTom and take advantage of their Plus Services. The TomTom Plus Services include real time traffic and weather data.(Subscription required through your wireless provider)

The TomTom ONE XL does not come with a Carry Case or the 110-Volt adapter. Both accessories are highly recommended for the TomTom ONE XL.
