Crisp 3D Maps on an Enormous 12.1" Display
The Furuno NavNet 3D MFD12 Navigation Display takes Marine Navigation to a whole new level. With Pre-loaded 3D maps and the option of adding digital radar, digital sonar and satellite weather, the NavNet 3D System will help you navigate from your home port to any fishing or cruising destination. The NavNet 3D is built on an Ethernet Network which allows you add or remove as many NavNet options as you would like. The Display on the MFD12 could not be any more impressive, measuring 12” diagonally with a 800x640 resolution.
Furuno Navnet 3D also comes pre-loaded with all of the maps you could ever need for the U.S. Coastline, Alaska and Hawaii. Simply add a Furuno BBWGPS GPS Sensor for accurate postioning and you will be able to see your location on your choice of 3D NOAA Raster Charts or Traditional 2D Top-Down view. Furuno's Time Zero technology facilitates instant chart redraw, allowing zooming in and out, chart panning, changing chart display modes and viewing angles with no lag time. You can even pan and zoom the chart to any angle and any range scale.
The Furuno DFF1 adds sonar capabilities to any of the NavNet 3D Displays. With the DFF1 connected you can split the screen or show full screen sounder. The DFF1 works in 50khz and/or 200khz frequency ranges to give the user highly detailed readings of the bottom, structure, bait or fish. The DFF1 is a 600w sonar unless it is connected to a 1kw transducer and then it will operate in 1kw mode to provide depth readings of up to 2500 feet. The DFF1 with FDF (Furuno Digital Filtering) technology adapts to fishing environments by adjusting gain, output power and other filters. The advantage of FDF is a clearer picture of targets and bottom. The new Furuno DFF1 is also much better at shallow water detection by suppressing the surface clutter and increasing the transmission rate. The result is better identification of bait pods and fish targets. Additional features include Audible/Visual alarms for bottom, fish or water temp changes. The MFD Series Chartplotters are also compatible with Furuno's DFF1-UHD Chirp Sonar.
Furuno is going all digital, and that includes their radars. With the NavNet 3D you can choose to add Radar by simply purchasing one of the many that are available. They range from a 19”, 2.2kw radome all the way up to a 6’, 25kw Open Array Radar. The Digital Radars offer (UHD) Ultra High Definition for crystal clear target presentation and Furuno’s dual-range radar scanning for display of two separate ranges simultaneously on one display. The PSU012 is required when adding a DRS4A, DRS6A, or DRS12A to a NavNet 3D MFD 8 display and when adding DRS12A to a NavNet 3D MFD 12.
