Rugged Handheld with a Crisp 4” Touchscreen Display
Any Adventure, Anywhere, the durable and waterproof Garmin Montana 650, is a versatile and easy to use handheld GPS designed for use on motorcycles, ATVs, boats, in your car or as a handheld. Features include a high resolution 4” touchscreen display for easy viewing in bright light conditions and dual orientation capabilities. The 650 locates your position precisely and accurately due to its high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and HotFix® satellite prediction. And with the built-in, 3 axis tilt compensated electronic compass, you will always have the correct heading even when standing still. In addition, the barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure to pinpoint your exact altitude while tracking barometric pressure over time to keep you alert to changing weather conditions.
Planning your next adventure is easy with BaseMap, a feature that lets you view and organize your maps, waypoints, routes, and tracks; displaying map data in 2-D or 3-D on your computer screen. With 3GB of internal memory and the ability to add a MicroSD card, you can easily add additional mapping to fit your needs such as TOPO U.S. 24K, BlueChart® g2 or City Navigator. Additionally, the 650 supports BirdsEye Satellite imagery (subscription required) that can be integrated into your existing maps for an aerial view of satellite images. The 650 provides the user with ample battery and gives you the choice to use a rechargeable lithium-ion pack or traditional AA batteries.
Snap and view pictures in landscape or portrait orientation with 650’s 5 megapixel digital camera that automatically geotags pictures so you can easily locate those spots in the future. You can also share details of your favorite hike or cache with others by simply pressing “send” to transfer waypoints, tracks, routes and geocaches wirelessly to other compatible Garmin devices. The Montana 650 also supports geocaching GPX files so you can download geocaches and details directly to your unit, alleviating the tedious task of manually entering coordinates and generating printouts. The 650 stores all your valuable information including location, terrain, level of difficulty, tips and descriptions.
