More Than Just a 7 inch GPS that is Radar Capable.
The Raymarine e7D chartplotter fishfinder goes well beyond the standard combination unit. The first thing you will notice is the super bright 7 inch touch screen with an 800 x 480 resolution. Do you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad? With the e7D’s Bluetooth capabilities control music from the e7D display and the internal WiFi you can see the display of the e7 on that same device. The optional RCU-3 steering wheel remote puts control of the most used functions of the e7D right on the wheel. An advanced screen coating on the e7D eliminates “blackout” from polarized glasses, no more tilting or removing your sunglasses to see the screen.
Multi function displays allow you to add other marine devices to be controlled on one display, the e7D is a GPS, sonar and an MFD. With an internal 48 channel GPS antenna and included Lighthouse Vector charts for the U.S., the e7d is ready to guide you out of the box, but add radar, satellite weather, thermal imaging and you have a sophisticated navigation suite at your finger tips. Add an optional Navionics microSD Platinum Plus chart or Download Free Raster Charts from Raymarine for exceptional chart details for help with navigation and fishing.
Connect to the Raymarine SR150 and add a subscription through Sirius for real time NexRad radar on the e7 display. See information like storm cells, wave height and period, sea surface temperatures and much more. Built on FLIR technology, Raymarine offers a full line of thermal imaging cameras that will let you see when there is no light; you can pick up a person in the water 1,500 feet away.
The e7 is compatible with the Raymarine digital high performance radar domes. Choose one of two 4KW digital radars, the RD418 18” radome has a 4.9 degree horizontal beam width and the RD424D is a larger 24” dome that has a 3.9 degree beam width. The lower the radar’s beam width, the better a target will be represented. This information can be clearly viewed in full screen or split screen mode or overlaid on the chartplotter page (heading sensor required).
The Raymarine E7D has a built-in Dual-frequency(50/200 kHz), sounder that can reach a maximum depth of 3,000' depending on the optional transducer that you choose. Raymarine also uses a HyperPing high speed scrolling to show you a more accurate picture of what is below.
The Raymarine e7D is a sophisticated chartplotter that can be so much more. If you are looking at electronics for a new boat or want to update your existing helm to new technology, the Raymarine e7D should be on your list.
