The Simrad NSE8 is a multifunction chartplotter that is pre-loaded with Navionics HD Insight for the USA and has expandability to also become your radar and fishfinder. The NSE8 offers a rugged exterior that is able to withstand the most grueling weather conditions that can be thrown at it, yet offering the simplicity that even the first time user can master. The 8” 800 x 600 resolution display is powered by a lightning fast 1.6 GHz CPU and its bonded display with LED backlighting makes it perfectly visible whether day or night.
The Simrad NSE 8 Multifunction/Chartplotter systems are packaged from Simrad and with the addition of an external antenna, ready to use right out of the box. The optional GS15 GPS antenna provides accurate positioning on the chart so that you can view your surroundings in high detail, navigate to a waypoint or just track where you have been, these are all standard features for the NSE systems. Network compatible means that you can have more than one display on your vessel sharing information like fishfinder, radar and AIS.

MAX-N Wide provides C-MAP features such as anchorages, harbor and approach chart detail, depth contours, aids to navigation, restricted areas, rocks, spots soundings, wrecks and other obstructions, detailed marina charts and coverage of inland rivers and lakes. The Navico BSM-1 Broadband Sounder Module uses Broadband technology to provide the best fishfinding/sonar picture available. The 50/200Khz Sounder will connect directly to you Simrad network through their Simnet network cables making installation simple. Simrad also enabled the NSE to display and control radar. Choose from Simrad’s lineup of Broadband or HD radar for your application and display that information either in full screen, split screen or even overlaid on the chartplotter.
The Simrad NSE8 is Simnet and NMEA 2000 compatible allowing for sharing information between multiple NSE displays and other NMEA devices. You can also control your Simrad Autopilot directly from the display of the NSE. Controls are made up of alphanumeric keypad, rotary controller and direct access keys for simple and intuitive use.
