The Garmin Varia RCT715 Rearview Radar with camera is an excellent safety companion for your outdoor cycling adventures. The Varia RCT715 camera is looking back continuously recording your ride and will automatically save footage before, during, and after an event when an incident is detected. Built with a bright tail light, the RCT715 makes riders more visible to motorists’ day or night, giving you peace of mind during your ride.
Pair your Varia RCT715 with a compatible Garmin cycling computer/device or through the Garmin Varia app on your compatible smartphone. When the Varia detects a vehicle up to 153 yards (140m) behind you, it will appear with a sharp and clear video image in 1080p at 30fps through your paired device. This Varia also allows you to change the resolution to 720p to extend your battery life for longer rides. Not only will you see what’s behind you through the Garmin Varia app on your compatible smartphone, you will also gain control of the camera as well. .
A battery life of up to 4 hours with radar and tail light on solid high or night flash, up to 5 hours on solid low, and up to 6 hours on a day flash all while recording at 1080p makes the Varia a great addition to your bike for short or long trips. Choose from three modes that can maximize battery life such as always on, lights and radar only, or a radar activated mode which turns the Varia on when a car is detected to ensure your RCT715 will last through every adventure you endure.
