The GPS 73 from Garmin is a floating non-mapping handheld GPS designed for marine conditions.

Capable of marking 1000 waypoints and saving 100 tracks you will have plenty of space to store and go back over past places of interest and routes from previous travels. With Garmin’s SailAssist the sail boater is given critical information like a heading line and TackAssist which tells the skipper when to tack based on whether your boat is getting headed or lifted compared to the boat's optimal tacking angle. The GPS 73 is also a good hand tool for the sailboat racer as well providing them with virtual starting line and countdown timer to make sure you cross the starting line at the right time.

The built in back-lit buttons on the GPS 73 along with the hi-contrast display makes it easy to read in all light conditions.
