Sophisticated 5 Watt VHF Radio with Land Mobile Capabilities
Introducing Standard Horizon’s new 5 watt handheld VHF radio the HX400, which comes with a 2400mAh Lithium ion battery that provides up to 17 hours of run time and recharges the large 2.4 A battery in as little as 3 hours with the included rapid charger. The small HX400 handheld radio provides a built-in noise cancelling microphone and voice scrambler for clear and private communications, a feature normally found in much more costly units. The HX400 comes preprogrammed with all US, Canadian, and International NOAA Weather Channels.
The HX400 also has the capability of programming 40 Land Mobil channels with CTCSS and DCS signaling. Standard Horizon’s HX400 is popular among recreational and commercial boaters. Additional features include Built in Voice Scrambler for private communications, and of course it is fully submersible and meets IPX8 standard for waterproof. The HX400 also possesses a noise cancelling microphone and programmable channel names, and of course low battery indicator.
Each HX400 VHF radio is packaged with an AC and DC rapid charger cables that plug into a drop-in cradle for easy and fast standup charging. Either charger will bring the massive 2400 mAH lithium-ion battery pack up to full charge in three hours. A belt clip is included in the package too.
