Innovative PLB with AIS and NFC

The ACR ResQLink AIS PLB-450 is a compact Personal Locator Beacon with AIS (Automatic Identification System) and NFC (Near Field Communication). In addition to AIS and NFC, the ResQLink AIS includes standard satellite notification through the Cospas Sarsat rescue system. Accurate positioning is provided through GNSS (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS) and 406 MHz satellite connectivity and allows for reliable coverage worldwide. The PLB-450, 2933 provides over 24 hours of operational life at 20°C (-4°F).

Designed to easily install within a life jacket and activate upon inflation of the jacket (semi-automatic), the ResQLink AIS comes with an oral inflation tube clip to attach the PLB to your life jacket with a ribbon connected around the bladder of the life jacket. The included webbing clip allows you to attach the beacon to a belt or the webbing of a buoyant life jacket. Whichever you choose- the device will provide peace of mind and help with you need it.

The PLB-450 has an AIS feature that increases the number of people that will see your mayday by alerting local AIS equipped boats in your area.

RLS functionality sends a signal back through the Galileo satellite network to confirm that your distress message has been received and your location has been detected by the Coast Guard. This confirmation is indicated by a flashing blue light on the PLB. This confirmation is the extra peace of mind that you need in an emergency!

Conveniently access beacon data from a compatible smartphone. Simply place your phone near the beacon and view the ACR product App for access to usage data, battery life, self-test results and the time the beacon has been activated.

While the unit is waterproof, it must be above the water’s surface to function properly. Intended operational environments encompass all marine usage scenarios (on deck, held in hand, etc.). In all cases, the PLB must be facing skyward with the antenna deployed. PLB will not work when fully submerged.
