The Garmin GTM 12 is an FM-band traffic receiver that, when connected provides real-time traffic information to compatible Garmin GPS automotive navigation products.
The GTM 12 traffic receiver does not require any permanent installation in the vehicle. This makes the GTM 12 a portable receiver that can be moved from vehicle to vehicle. The GTM 12 will connect to your Garmin compatible unit with an included cable, right through the mini USB connection on the GPS. Using this data, compatible Garmin products can alert the user to local traffic tie-ups and display graphical map symbols for improved driver situational awareness. The GTM 12 is currently compatible with the StreetPilot 2720, StreetPilot 2730, StreetPilot 7200, StreetPilot 7500, nüvi 350 and the StreetPilot c340.
