Looking to add the security of a top of the line VHF without the price, the Eclipse 1000S comes standard with Digital Selective Calling, or DSC for short, capability allowing you to send for help if needed.(GPS connection required) The GX1000S has a large display that is easy to read and the entire front panel of the radio is waterproof to an IPX7 rating. You even have dedicated buttons for 16/9 and weather channels, channel up, channel down, high/low power, and scan. The Eclipse DSC radio is available in white and black.
