The GNSS testing can show a map view through the smartphone app pinpointing where a previous test was performed, with date & time information, how long it took your EPIRB to get a fix and more. Incorporated AIS technology starts transmitting AIS signals so nearby AIS equipped vessels are notified of your distress situation and location and if nearby vessels are within VHF range, they will see safety messages on their screens that will include MMSI vessel identification. In the event that no local vessels are available, the AIS transmission will speed up recovery times by allowing maritime search and rescue operators to pinpoint your EPIRBS location as they approach.
