High Current Core Pack – Just add Pump and Controller!
The NAC-3 Autopilot Core Pack from Navico offers the consumer the Core Components of an autopilot; the autopilot computer, Precision 9 solid state compass, and the RF25 rudder feedback.
The Core Pack NAC-3 was designed for boats over 35 feet in length so it is not an option for smaller craft. The Nac-3 is compatible with high-current outputs of up to 30 amps continuous and 50 amps peak, plus a clutch output; this is suitable to operate high-current drive pumps including the Simrad RPU160 and RPU300, 
mechanical drives such as the Simrad DD15, hydraulic linear drives such as the HLD2000 series, and solenoid valves. You can choose a dedicated autopilot controller (AP44 or AP48) or compatible Simrad MFD to control the NAC-3. The NAC-3 comes with plug and play connectors so your installation time is cut to a minimum. Connecting your NAC-3 Corepack equipped autopilot to your navigation system or control head can be done with either NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183.
If you are looking at upgrading your autopilot system and have an existing compatible mechanical or hydraulic drive, then the NAC-3 is an option for you. Remember this upgrade is for vessels of at least 10 meters in length whether, hydraulic or mechanical drives.
