The Standard Horizon SSM 820 headset is a new dual muff headset engineered with uncompromising quality and precision to deliver reliable performance in loud noise environments. Designed for professional use, it provides 23dB of noise reduction and features a 150 ohm dynamic noise canceling microphone that requires close proximity to the user’s mouth for optimal performance. The headset also includes 32 ohm speakers to ensure clear audio in demanding conditions.
Built with flexibility and serviceability in mind, the SSM 820 features a behind the neck band and a velcro over the head strap, allowing users to comfortably wear various types of headwear while in use. The headset includes multiple field replaceable components such as gel ear seals, a mic sock, a velcro over the head strap, and cloth covers for the ear seals to provide added protection during storage. As with all Standard Horizon accessories, the SSM 820 is backed by a standard one year warranty.
The SSM 820 is compatible with all Standard Horizon handheld radios with the exception of the HX400IS and it is not intrinsically safe rated. A compatible headset cable (XURRI0001) is required for operation and is not included. The cable must be purchased separately to ensure proper configuration and is field-replaceable as needed for added flexibility and serviceability.
