Compact, Float Free Category 1 EPIRB with Hydrostatic release
The Ocean Signal EPIRB1 Pro is a safety device that any mariner should have meeting the needs for all commercial, fishing, and leisure vessels. Built with a new compact design with a 30% smaller footprint than other EPIRB’s, this Category 1 Automatic Release Housing, also known as “float free”, will automatically deploy from its bracket and activate your distress signal through the satellite network, should the user not be able to access the EPIRB1 Pro in time for a manual deploy.
A state of the art 66 channel internal GPS receiver provides fast and accurate satellite acquisition and high sensitivity strobe lights ensuring you will be seen and found as quickly as possible in the event of an emergency. With a 10-year battery life, the EPIRB1 Pro negates the need to have its battery replaced every 5 years to conform to safety regulations. Please note, battery life may be reduced by the number of times the EPIRB1 Pro is tested.
Outfitted with a 121.5 MHz homing beacon, search and rescue will be zoned in right to your exact location. The EPIRB1 Pro operates on the three Cospas-Sarsat satellite systems including the new MEOSAR, ensuring they will offer the near instantaneous signal detection and transmission enabled by the global MEOSAR satellites and upgraded ground-station components. Anyone activating an EPIRB1 Pro can expect their beacon to be located within 100 meters (328 feet), 95% of the time, within 5 minutes of the distress signal.
