The Reactor Autopilot itself requires minimal commissioning and calibration after installation.
You have full control of Garmin’s Reactor 40 when paired with one of Garmin’s compatible MFD’s. When paired with Garmin’s G3 Charts, you can enjoy features like Auto-Guidance which automatically steers GPS courses. The GHP Reactor 40 Autopilot utilizes a feature called Intelligent Rudder Rate Technology (IRRT), which actually slows the rudder rate when the vessel is at high speeds and speeds up rudder rate when the vessel is at lower speeds to provide optimal performance and safety in all conditions.

Paired with a GHP20, GHP12 or Reactor Garmin’s GFR 10 will provide rudder position and detect and avoid rudder stops while on the water. Magnetic sensor relays position information so that you know where the rudder is without having to guess.
