Garmin GHP Reactor 40 Designed for Single Engine Outboards Less than 25 Feet
Garmin created the GHP Compact Reactor 40 Hydraulic Autopilot for the smaller sized, single engine outboard. With its 9 Axis AHRS the GHP Compact Reactor 40 Hydraulic Autopilot allows for more flexible mounting and minimizes heading error and rudder movement making for a more comfortable ride even in rolling and pitching seas, the GHP Compact Reactor Hydraulic Autopilot actually reacts to sea conditions.
The Compact Reactor like with all autopilots, requires commissioning and calibration. Calibration of the GHP Compact Reactor 40 Hydraulic Autopilot it has been reduced to the absolute minimum. When added to a NMEA 2000 Garmin system the GHP Compact Reactor Hydraulic Autopilot can be controlled virtually everywhere on the boat with up to 3 Garmin autopilot control heads. When used with a Garmin’s G3 Vision charts you gain optional features like Auto Guidance, which automatically steers the GPS paths.
The included Garmin GHC 50 Marine Autopilot Instrument allows you to navigate with ease! The GHC 50 has an intuitive design and sunlight readable 5" touchscreen with edge-to-edge glass display, matching GPSMAP x3 and GPSMAP 8600 series displays. The high-resolution (800 x 480) WVGA display provides a top notch viewing experience in any marine conditions. The included Shadow Drive automatically disengages the autopilot if the helm is turned.
Not recommended for fishing or applications that require holding heading while trolling at low speeds or operating in rough waters. For applications that require precise heading control, the higher-performance Reactor 40 models are recommended. Compact Reactor uses a gear pump design with limited performance relative to similar flow piston pumps. Not recommended for power assist installs, boats over 25 feet, engines above 150 horsepower or boats with more than 12-degree deadrises. Mount pump within 6’ of the steering cylinder for best results.

The Garmin NMEA 2000 Starter Kit comes with all of the parts you need to start a NMEA2000 Marine Network.
The Garmin NMEA 2000 T-Connector is required for adding components to your network. It is installed on the backbone cable and uses one end of the T-Connector for the drop cable.
The Garmin NMEA 2000 Male Terminator is used to begin or end the NMEA 2000 Backbone. It should be installed on one side of a Micro-Tee.
The Garmin NMEA 2000 Female Terminator is used to begin or end the NMEA 2000 Backbone. It should be installed on one side of a Micro-Tee.
