Garmin’s GMR 2526 xHD2 25kw 6’ 96 nm Open Array Radar from Garmin is a top choice radar for serious fishermen and long distance cruisers. The 6’ Open Array antenna with 25kW of power and 1.1° Horizontal Beamwidth provides exceptional target separation and expanded 96 nautical mile range. Network compatible with multiple Garmin MFD’s the 2526 adds True Color, Echo Trails, Pulse Expansion, Dual-Radar support and more to the GPSMAP 7400/7600 and 8000/8500 Series Displays.

Garmin designed the GMR 2526 xHD 2 to be both easy to install and use by offering features that can be used without tuning like an Auto Bird Gain* that can detect birds at the water’s surface where baitfish may be located. Also the GMR 2526 has a Dynamic Auto Gain that will automatically adjust the gain for harbors, nearshore or offshore waters. With its tight beam width of 1.1° it is highly unlikely that even a small target would escape detection. Of course the GMR 2526 Open Array offers dual range monitoring * of targets both near and far simultaneously on the screen of the plotter. Identifying moving targets is made simpler by the use of Echo Trails* which is a historical trail that is left on the screen to identify these targets and avoid potential collision threats.
