The Standard Horizon HX40 is small in size, however, don’t let its compact design fool you. 6w of transmit power with user selectable power options of 6w/2.5w/1w, ease of use, and 600mW of audio output are just some of the things that make this communication tool a powerhouse of features!
A great addition to your vessel for everyday use, or as an addition to your ditch bag, the HX40 is versatile and easy to use. Simplified menu options allows for quick set up and easy customization allowing your HX40 handheld VHF to be personalized to your dedicated user preferences. Built with a durable Dot Matrix, bright backlit display, the HX40 can be used in any lighting conditions you encounter while on the water.
Dedicated preset keys allow each user to recall up to 10 favorite channels and offers dedicated channels for weather and weather alerts, keeping you aware of your surroundings. As an added feature, your HX40 has an FM Broadcast Radio Receiver which will pick up AM/FM radio stations that broadcast bands between 76 MHz to 108 MHz and transmit those stations directly to this Standard Horizon radio.
The Standard Horizon HX40 has a submersible construction meeting IPX7 waterproofing standards of 1 Meter (3.3') for 30 minutes.
