Class B AIS with WiFi and NMEA 2000!
The Vesper XB-8000 smartAIS Transponder is a low-power consumption AIS solution for any vessel. Vesper holds true to its motto, Always On-Always Visible-Always Watching, especially when it comes to the XB-8000. A full-featured Class B smartAIS transponder that can be viewed on any tablet, smartphone, PC, or Mac over WiFi or USB which allows the XB-8000 to continuously watch and alert you, even when the screen is turned off. The smartAIS offers an internal 5Hz GPS receiver and includes a powerful 50 channel external GPS receiver for fast 5Hz refresh rates.
Unlike ordinary AIS devices that only send and receive data, the Vesper smartAIS is an active AIS system with smart alarm logic. This feature will proactively alert you to potential collision situations. The Safety Underway Alarm will alert you when the smartAIS detects potential collisions while the Safety At Anchor and Safety For Your Crew Alarms will notify you of anchor drags and if someone falls overboard.
Built with an internal WiFi router and an integrated NMEA 2000 gateway, the XB-8000 translates AIS, GPS, and NMEA information can be sent to up to 5 devices simultaneously, working seamlessly with apps such as NavPlay, iNavX, or SEAiq on an ipad or use with Android Apps or Windows/MAC navigation software. Utilize the WatchMate smartAIS app to monitor your vessel, customize alarms, control anchor watch, and more.
A silent mode can be controlled by an external switch (not included) or via WiFi from your PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet disabling the information being sent to other vessels until you enable the transmission of your vessels data again. Easily silence alarms with the included external mute switch. This included mute switch can easily be mounted virtually anywhere on board and is durable and waterproof, ideal for mounting internally or externally and is designed to work with 12 and 24 volt VDC systems.
