10” Touchscreen Chartplotter with Network Capabilities
The Garmin GPSMAP 8610 MFD offers a full color, 10” HD IPS (In-Plane Switching for a crisper display and wider viewing angles) touchscreen display offering wider viewing angles, better clarity, and is sunlight readable even with polarized sunglasses. The 8610 can be flat mounted for a flat appearance into the console, flush mounted, or bracket mounted.
Serious cruising requires a serious multifunction display to handle all of your needs. Built with industry leading charting, by Garmin and Navionics, the GPSMAP 8610 provides preloaded Bluechart g3 mapping covering coastal waters for US, Canada, Bahamas, and Europe. LakeVu g3 mapping is also included for coverage of inland lakes and rivers in the US. Auto guidance technology provides you with a suggested route based on your boats specifications making navigating easier than ever. Both preloaded maps, inland and coastal, include depth range shading for up to 10 depth ranges and are fully compatible with Bluechart g3 vision and LakeVu g3 Ultra (LakeVu g3 Ultra is included in bundle) for enhanced mapping details such as high resolution satellite imagery, aerial photographs of marinas, and 3d views above and below the water.
Fully networkable, your GPSMAP 8610 will come with two Ethernet ports to expand your system to multiple displays, add radar or weather, marine cameras (including the Garmin GC200 Marine IP Camera), sonar and more. If you need more networking capabilities, simply add the GMS10 port expander to add on more than two networkable devices to your system. The 8600 series MFD’s also offer wireless networking capabilities to pair with the ActiveCaptain app for access to OneChart, smart notifications, and to the Garmin Quick Draw data community. Also built with Garmin’s OneHelm system, the 8600 series will work with 3rd party onboard marine products allowing you to control lighting, full control of digital switching, and more. The Garmin 8600 series supports the Garmin inReach Mini satellite communicator which allows users to select from a list of preset responses to communicate with friends and family directly from your chartplotter.
The 8600 series offers an internal 10Hz receiver which operates on GPS, GLONASS and Galileo Satellites which allows for superior precision and reliability.
