The SI-TEX MDA-6is a high-powered 5W SOTDMA Class B/SO AIS transceiver designed to provide reliable vessel tracking and enhanced AIS visibility in busy waterways. Its higher-power transmission and SOTDMA technology provide increased transmission priority and rapid reporting, helping other AIS-equipped vessels identify your position, course, speed, and heading.

This device combines AIS transmit and receive capabilities with integrated high-power Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, making it easy to integrate with compatible chartplotters, tablets, laptops, and onboard navigation systems. Wired connectivity includes NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, and isolated USB, while the included external GPS antenna provides positioning information for AIS operation.

Class-A level transmit priorities offer users with rapid update rates and twice the power of a standard Class B AIS unit. This ensures your vessel is detected sooner and at greater distances even in demanding or congested waterways. This information combined provides surrounding vessels a clearer and more accurate image of your vessel’s movements.

Built for demanding marine environments, the MDA-6 features an IP67-rated housing designed to withstand water, dust, and vibration. It also includes built-in VDR capability and an AIS Control App with hazard-reporting functionality. The unit is IEC 62287-2, FCC, and USCG certified.
